My name is Zach Young. I am passionate about using technology to make people’s lives easier and more efficient. Every day I’m learning how I can improve the quality of my code and sharing what I’m learning here.

What I’m doing now

For my full time job, I am a front end architect at Redlist. I also work closely with our mobile teams to ensure our backend APIs are backwards compatible. Primarily coding in React, .NET, and SQL.

In my free time, I’ve been creating and maintaining plugins for Obsidian. Many of my blog posts and snippets are focused on teaching how to use some of the more advanced features of Obsidian.

I also recently participated in a community tournament for Battlesnake, where I made it to the finals! It was a fun way to learn the basics of Rust. You can see the code for my Battlesnakes here.
